Auto Tax Code Update:

To achieve automatic tax code updates, the client must authorise you as their agent. You have two options to complete this process:

Option 1: Request the client to complete Agent Authorisation on the HMRC portal
The client can log in to the HMRC portal to authorise you as their agent.

Option 2: Use our "Agent Authorisation Service"
With this service, you can send an invitation to the client, making it easier for them to complete the authorisation process.

Default E-Filing Credentials

The default E-Filing configuration uses our developer credentials (ID and Password), which allow you to perform Test in Live (TIL) submissions with HMRC systems.

HMRC’s TIL validation process is identical to that used for live filings, as both test and live submissions are transmitted to the same HMRC servers and undergo the same validation checks. Successfully passing a TIL submission confirms that your e-filing setup is fully compliant and ready for live use—ensuring a 100% accurate submission when moved to production.

The only difference between a TIL and a Live submission is that data submitted through TIL is not stored in HMRC’s back-end systems and therefore does not affect any real taxpayer records.
