Important Note: To get the gross amount what you need to do is to enter the NET amount into the box then simply click on the ' Post to Basic ' button to calculate the gross Basic Pay amount, or the ' Post to Other Payments' button to calculate the gross Other Payments amount 1 Basic Pay: If your NET AMOUNT is for Basic Pay and you wish to find out the gross amount of Basic Pay required in order to end up with this net amount, you should click on the ' Post to Basic ' button . 2 Other Payments: If your NET AMOUNT is for an other payment and you wish to find out the gross amount required in order to end up with this net amount, you should click on the ' Post to Other Payments' button. You would use this option in circumstances where you want to pay an employee a known additional net payment on top of their basic pay, a £200 net bonus for example. To calculate the pay accurately you would enter your Basic gross pay first and then use the ' Post to Other Payments' option to find out the gross bonus required to result in a net take home bonus of £200. 3 Basic Pay and Other Payments: If you pay your employee Basic Pay and Other Payments both as net amounts and need to find out the respective gross amounts to enter into the payroll, simply calculate the net to gross for each payment type in turn.
4 No Limitation: There is no limit on the number of net to gross payments you can make to an employee in any pay period. I.e. if you have Basic Pay, as well as many Other Payments, all in net to gross, or a combination of gross pay on top of the net pay, simply keep repeating the net to gross calculations using the "View Gross Amount " buttons as many times as required. 5 Absence Payments or Absence Deductions: If the NET amount relates to an Absence Payment or an Absence Deduction, you should click on the ' Post to Other Payments' button to work out the gross amount for you to then manually enter this gross amount into the respective absence payment or absence deduction sections. 6 Deductions: We do not support Net to Gross calculations for Deductions other than " D1 Absence Deductions" 7 Pensions, SSP / SMP: We do not support Net to Gross calculations for Pensions, or SSP/SMP
